I graduated from Brownsville High School in 1954 and graduated from Texas A & I University with a BS Degree in Animal Science in 1960.  I married Sue Ann Barr from Brownsville, Texas in 1962.  We have three children one boy and two girls.  They are all married.  I have been involved in ranching since graduating from college.  In 1968 I was elected to the Texas House of Representatives and was there till 1972.  I am presently County Judge for Kenedy County and have been there since 1983.  I am also on the Board of the J. G. & Marie Stella Kenedy Memorial Foundation.
